My Photographic Journey: Capturing the Essence of Bordeaux
During my recent trip to Bordeaux, I spent hours wandering through the city, camera in hand, captivated by its beauty and charm. I found myself drawn to the interplay of light and shadow on the grand facades of the Place de la Bourse, the intricate details of the stained-glass windows in the Cathédrale Saint-André, and the vibrant colours of the flower boxes adorning the windows in the Quartier Saint-Michel. I captured candid moments of people enjoying their coffee at a café, children playing in the Jardin Public, and musicians performing on the Quais de Bordeaux. Each photograph told a story, a fragment of the city’s vibrant tapestry.
One evening, as the sun began to set, I found myself on the Pont de Pierre, the oldest bridge in Bordeaux. The golden light cast a warm glow on the city, highlighting the architectural details of the buildings and the gentle curves of the Garonne River. I captured a series of photos, each one capturing a different aspect of the scene, from the silhouette of the bridge against the vibrant sky to the reflections of the city lights on the water. These photos became some of my favourites from the trip, encapsulating the beauty and magic of Bordeaux.
